Testing Deepest Sender Deepest Sender is a
Firefox plug-in that supports several currently popular blogging platforms (so-so on Wordpress and Blogger, very well for LJ and its little clones).
It sets up pretty simply to access my accounts on the various journals. All you have to do for the LJ clones is substitute "whateverjournal" for "livejournal" in the URL to the posting page in the set-up process.
I know that many people like to use clients (such as Semagic) to do their LJ posting. That isn't for me. I don't like to have a lot of stuff that runs like TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) programs in the Windows era (they're still memory hogs -- I challenge you to take a look at your processes running on your machine and not say "Oh my gosh, that's a lot of junk. So I'm not interested in having Semagic or another client to fire up and get going when I can have a browser plug-in, instead. (Saves more RAM for Warcraft, anyway!)
On the downside, Deepest Sender doesn't have the functionality to post simultaneously to multiple journals *sigh* but it would be a no-brainer to cut-and-paste the entries and switch back and forth between multiple identities.
For more discussion of the plug-in, see this
other thread over on my LJ.
